About Us
The St. Louis Senior Dog Project is a not-for-profit 501c3 corporation. Our mission is to rescue the not-so-young homeless dogs that are often overlooked at most animal shelters. We have shown that people will adopt and love older dogs. We look for dogs that are usually 5 years and older although we also take younger dogs , and the occasional puppy or cat. We frequently place our pets with senior citizens although being a senior is not a requirement for adopting our dogs.
We do not have a shelter, but we do conduct frequent adoption events which we advertise on this website and elsewhere. We will also arrange personal visits to meet dogs or cats that may interest you.
